A modern prosthetic leg
Prosthetic limbs were created with the intention of allowing individuals who have suffered the loss of an extremity to adapt to their surroundings and live life to the fullest. While somewhat controversial, these prosthetic limbs are vital to those who use them, and their lives are significantly improved by the addition of this technology.
